  • Overview

    The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All Team Memebers must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move Team Members from their accustomed shift as business demands change. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.


    • Direct & coordinate the procurement of goods, supplies & services essential to the operations.
    • Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales.
    • Estimate price and product availability, inventory usage, control & develop policies & procedures
    • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
    • Control purchasing department budgets.
    • Survey vendor prices and products on a quarterly basis.
    • Ensures all deliveries are accounted for and are appropriately monitored
    • Ensures all storage areas are neat, cleaned, and organized
    • Maintain records of goods ordered and received.


    • 2 years’ experience in similar position
    • Bachelor Degree in Administration or Accounting
    • Prior experience with purchasing for Food & Beverage preferred
    • Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities.
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to effectively communicate with department managers, team members and employees
    • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours or more.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
    • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally.
    • Ability to work in extreme conditions like freezers and kitchens, occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, Hot surfaces, steam, wet floors, hot grease, and water.
    • Must be able speak, read and understand English and Spanish fluently
