    The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All Team Members must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move Team Members from their accustomed shift as business demands change. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • The banquet assistant manager supports and guides the Banquet Department by assisting the Banquet Manager directing staff to ensure excellence in daily operations.
    • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, reviewing and overseeing all event orders (BEOs) to successful completion, coordinating with the kitchen and all supportive departments, training and developing staff, conducting pre-shift meetings, certifying that all policies and service standards are adhered to, and maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.
    • The banquet assistant manager also assists in any other duties as assigned by upper management. 
    • The ideal candidate will thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment with diverse personalities and will be a great innovator and effective communicator to guarantee success.
    • It requires quickly solving problems that arise during an event.
    • A banquet assistant manager oversees all aspects of a banquet or event, including set-up, menu selection and food preparation, serving, and cleanup.
    • Banquet assistant managers are in charge of scheduling, training, coaching, disciplining and reviewing all banquet staff

    Qualifications

    • Previous Banquet Supervisory or Management experience necessary.
    • Knowledge of Food and Beverage is a must.
    • Prioritizing and organizing a variety of tasks and responsibilities.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members.
    • Strong verbal / written communications and skills.
    • Professional demeanor.
    • Be flexible in a changing environment.
    • Fully Bilingual (Spanish/English).
