  • Overview

    The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All Team Members must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move Team Members from their accustomed shift as business demands change. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • An executive sous chef has a huge range of duties and responsibilities within the kitchen. The most important of these is to ensure that quality culinary dishes are served on schedule and to see that any problems that arise are rectified. As such, the executive sous chef is responsible for approving all prepared food items that leave his or her kitchen.
    • The executive sous chef is expected to modify and create new menus as needed so that they remain effective for the purposes for the restaurant or other establishment.
    • The executive sous chef also performs many administrative duties, including ordering supplies and reporting to the head of the establishment.

    Qualifications

    • Prior experience in the position is a must
    • Creativity, Team work, Organization skills 
    • Fully Bilingual (Spanish/English)
